The nonprofit recently added Khanmigo, an AI tutor built on large language model technology, which guides students through problems using the Socratic method rather than giving answers outright. How Khan Academy works

The platform organizes its content into courses and units that align with standard school curricula. Duolingo shares Khan Academy’s free-access philosophy and gamified approach to learning, but focuses exclusively on language acquisition. Students who need both language practice and academic subject support would benefit from using both platforms together, since neither overlaps with the other’s core strength.
